Neighborhoods prominently feature one of two architectural styles, with homes closest to the hotel mirroring its classical Georgian style, while stone and timber homes are situated primarily in the mountains. Each home is reviewed by an Architectural Review Board (ARB) to ensure each design harmonizes with its surroundings, ultimately preserving and enhancing the natural environment for generations to enjoy.

Property Access

The Greenbrier Sporting Club is a private residential Community and Club.

Members:
Members' vehicles are registered and identified by an assigned windshield decal, ensuring easy access to the Club and Resort properties.

Guest & Family Registration:
Guests and family visiting The Greenbrier Sporting Club must be registered and display a dated visitor’s vehicle pass on the dashboard of their vehicle at all times while on Club and Resort properties.

Members can request a visitor’s vehicle pass for extended family and overnight house guests by completing the registration form online or by contacting the Greenbrier Sporting Club Membership Office at [email protected]. Please provide your guest's name and dates of stay when submitting the request.

Once processed, the vehicle pass will be available for pickup at the GSC Welcome Center, located just off Route 60 on Sporting Club Drive. Upon arrival, your guests may be asked to provide the Member's name and address they are visiting.

We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for all members and guests.

Gate Access

The entrance to the main Club facility and all residential neighborhoods are gated for your security and privacy. These gates are controlled by a centrally monitored proximity device reader system, which is activated when a pre-programmed proximity card or vehicle tag is detected.

Member Access:
Proximity cards and vehicle tags are issued to all Members for easy access. Additional cards and tags are available for purchase through The Club's Membership Office.

Guest Access:
Extended family and overnight houseguests of Members will be issued temporary proximity cards at The Greenbrier Sporting Club Welcome Center, located at the entrance of Sporting Club Drive. The Welcome Center. Cards are deactivated at the end of each visit and must be returned or a $10 charge is assessed to the member.

After-Hours Access:
If a Member or guest arrives in the late evening/overnight hours when The Greenbrier Sporting Club Welcome Center is closed, access to the gates can be granted via the call box located at each gate. By contacting The Greenbrier Security office through the call box, proper credentials will need to be presented to gain entry.

This system ensures that your privacy and security are always a priority, while also offering a smooth and convenient experience for Members and their guests.

Property Guidelines

  • 20 MPH speed limit observed on property or as posted otherwise
  • Stay on main roadways
  • Yield right of way to pedestrian, golf cars, bikers, horses and wildlife
  • Use caution when approaching golf play areas
  • Uncased firearms, weapons and fireworks are prohibited
  • Do not feed, approach or harass wildlife
